DÉSERT IRIKI EXCURSIONS à FOUM ZGUID | Foum Zguid 84150, Marruecos

We booked our desert experience with Mokhtar, and it was absolutely amazing and truly unforgettable. Since we didn’t have a 4x4 vehicle, we were picked up in Foum Zguid, which was perfectly organized and smooth. The drive to the desert camp was already an experience on its own. Along the way, we stopped at several interesting places and visited a beautiful oasis full of camels and baby camels – a wonderful start to the adventure. After arriving at the camp, we were welcomed with traditional mint tea. Later, we went on a camel ride, which was fantastic. Mokhtar also arranged sandboards for our children, and we spent the rest of the day sandboarding on the dunes. For our kids, this was the highlight of the entire trip to Morocco. In the evening, we enjoyed an excellent tajine for dinner. Mokhtar is an incredibly kind and welcoming person, and a great host. We had lovely conversations by the campfire, and the night sky full of millions of stars was absolutely breathtaking. We stayed at the end of December and were a bit worried about the cold, but during the day it was warm (around 20°C). At night, although it was cooler outside, the tents were very comfortable with plenty of blankets, and we slept perfectly well. In the morning, it was warm again. Breakfast was a delicious Berber omelette. A perfectly organized desert experience with an amazing host – highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had an amazing experience with Desert Iriki, we were picked up by Abdul in his 4x4 in Foum Zguid and driven out through the desert where we met Mukhtar and his family. They were very welcoming and hospitable when we arrived and his wife cooked us a delicious couscous meal. This was an unforgettable experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the Moroccan Desert.

Amazing desert experience with Mokhtar! Everything was perfectly organized, including pickup from Foum Zguid. Camel ride, sandboarding (a huge hit with our kids), delicious tajine, and a magical night under the stars. Comfortable tents even in December and a great Berber breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended!

Amazing place in the middle of the sand dunes. We enjoyed home-cooked food, diverse desert landscapes, fossils, sunset and stars. Very friendly family!
