The coal mine in the Jerada and Hassi Belal region was operated by the Moroccan Coal Company. When it closed, the buildings remained standing despite factors affecting their infrastructure, such as rust and the vandalism that affected many of the mine's facilities. However, they still stand as a symbol of Jerada's history, which is full of the struggles of the working class.
