Port of Casablanca | Casablanca, Marokko

It's a big and busy port, accommodating both Cargo and Passenger vessels. Local watchmen are required to stay onboard berthed ships. Stowaway search is a must prior to ships departure.. Shore pass for seafarers who wants to have a shore leave can be obtain in the immigration office, although that office is undergoing major renovation( as of this writing) it still caters its services... some major tourist attraction in Casablanca are just minutes away from the port...

We went to Casablanca port in Morocco for our vessel discharging. I wanted to go ashore with my Filipino friends. He granted permission to my Filipino friends when it was my turn for immigration. One officer sitting on the right side behaved very rudely with me in the immigration office. If he didn't want to allow Indians to go out, he could have said it normally, but instead, he threatened me that he would put me in jail and complain to the Indian government.

I bought a Tesla from the U.S., brought it to Morocco, a whole week of paperwork to get the car out of the port, after everything was done I wanted to pay the storage fees but they said the system is down because of a software issue, I said can we do it manually? Since they have all the details, they said no. They said come back Monday (three more days will be added for storage fees), this happened Friday, on Saturday they called me, they said we have some bad news for you, your car was hit by one of our fork lifter workers, on Monday you need to come and work with us to get your car out and make a claim with your insurance. I don’t know what happened exactly, but I feel there is a whole mess in the process of clearing cars out of the port. If Morocco works this way nobody will trust their ports.

Industrial, crumbling, we parked next to a broken old falling apart cruise ship. We had to walk past it and another 40 minutes to get to the port entrance where you are attacked by hawkers, horrible experience, no WiFi, no shops, no cafes, no toilets no nothing. If you visit this port take an excursion

We were here on a crise ship. There are a lot of taxis avalible and the drivers can be quite aggressive. Just walk away and they will leave you alone. If you want a ride they will try and charge you 10 euro per person to go to the nearby downtown market. Negotiate and they will take 4 people per car for 10 euro. BE FIRM. We walked to the Habous area and a market there (appox 75 minutes) Took a taxi back for 10 euro, 4 people in a car.
