Mellow Massage and Hammam Taghazout Tamraght | Ait Soile Tamraght, Agadir, Morocco

If you are looking for an authentic, local experience away from the polished resort spas, this is it. My wife organized this, and as someone who usually likes to plan every single detail to feel comfortable, I had to just go with the flow—and I’m so glad I did. It’s a small, independent business run out of a converted ground floor of a house. It feels very 'real' and rustic. There was no English spoken (only Arabic and French), which made communication a bit of a challenge, but it just added to the interesting and authentic atmosphere. The experience started in a small room where we changed into robes, before being taken into a traditional hammam room (essentially a dedicated wash-room). We were both washed with traditional soap, rinsed, had mud applied, and were thoroughly scrubbed. After being washed down again, we went back to the massage room for a very thorough and relaxing oil massage from two lovely ladies. It is a very different experience from what we are used to in the UK, but that is exactly why we travel! The staff were fantastic, and despite the language barrier, we felt totally relaxed and rejuvenated afterward. If you take everything in your stride and embrace the local way of doing things, you will have a brilliant time. Great to support a local independent business!

We booked via WhatsApp for 120 min of hammam and Berber massage, and absolutely loved the experience. Not much English spoken, but super friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for a luxury spa experience, feel free to pay the ridiculous hotel prices, but for an an authentic and flawless experience would recommend 100%

We had a truly wonderful experience here. The hammam and massage were exceptional and exactly what we needed to relax and unwind. The team were attentive and professional, and I especially want to thank them for being so thoughtful and gentle with my friend, taking extra care where needed. Called to make a reservation for a 1hr Hamam followed by a 1hr massage which was a nice and easy process to do. Arrived the following day about 5mins early and had the Hamam experience which was amazing. The lady (sorry I have forgotten your name) had me boxers nekid and smashed me with some mud or chocolate from head to knees an toes, I ain’t gota clue what it was but it was the business!! Then she got me to sit up on a chair and smashed me again with some other rub-a-dub, dub - absolutely loved it. She then wrapped me up and took me to the massage chamber. Wow, she gave me a proper once over and made me feel like I needed to spend an extra tenner !! Would highly recommend this place. Have to admit, it does look a bit dodge from the outside and they could do with a lick of paint but the service and quality of massage is top notch!! We stayed in the 5 star hotel across the street road, White Beach - they charged £130 for the same treatment which cost me a fraction of the price, £40 ! (so I gave her an extra tenner, 😜) Just go, u wont regret it !!

This was my third hammam experience in Morocco, and what truly set this one apart was the care and communication throughout. Scheduling was easy via WhatsApp, and from the moment I arrived the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive. During the hammam, I really appreciated the clear communication—especially being told how long I would stay with the mask on, which made the experience feel relaxed and unhurried. Fatima did my hammam, and her nurturing, intuitive touch was unlike anything I’ve experienced in my previous hammams. Fetiyhe gave my massage and was equally wonderful, with great communication and a very calming presence. The space itself is small and no-frills, but don’t let that dissuade you—the quality of care more than makes up for it. I’ll be returning next week.
