Exploring the Chefchaouen Medina was one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve had in Morocco. The blue-painted streets create a peaceful and dreamy atmosphere, perfect for walking, taking photos, and discovering hidden corners. I loved the mix of small shops, friendly locals, and traditional artisan products that give the medina its authentic charm. Even though it can get busy, especially in the afternoon, it still feels incredibly calm and welcoming. Every turn leads to new shades of blue, stunning alleys, and great spots to stop for a drink or snack. A must-visit place for anyone who wants to experience the true magic and beauty of Chefchaouen
Chefchaouen is an amazing place to visit. It has great food, beautiful scenery and views, and lovely handcrafted souvenirs. You can find wool pillow covers, carpets, street paintings, soaps, and argan products at low prices. The people are friendly, the place is safe, and it’s a very touristic area.
This city is pretty, the bright blue colors everywhere and the boutiques are pretty colourful and the shop keeps are friendly. Many little allies and cute squares, a nice little walk towards the panoramic lookout points for the sunset and over looking the whole medina. Good place to visit, strongly recommended
What a blue surprise! One of the most beautiful village or even the most beautiful we visite so far in Morocco!!! Do not miss it, this is worth spending a day or more to enjoy these so beautiful city, pastries, restaurants and shops. All of us were simply amazed by the beauty of the city despite it was a rainy day. Medina looks quite safe compared to much bigger one in big cities, quieter with no constant incitation to buy and people there were very nice. A must see in Morroco (we did a day trip by being based from Tetuan but potentially also fine from Tanger). Tetuan is 1h20m drive from Chefchaouen and the drive through the mountain and lakes is also splendid. Just to make my comments even clearer. I repeat, a MUST-SEE medina.
This place is like no other. Almost every wall is colored blue but it doesn't come across overpowering at all. The Medina is a old city quarter painted in different shades of blue, filled with street vendors of different kinds, and pathways paved with cobblestones. There is a courtyard filled with restaurants and their various other shops. Beautiful, breathtaking, and a must-visit in a life time.
